What is door-to-door auto transport?
Door-to-door auto transport means that the carrier will pick up or deliver your car directly to your location (and not to a terminal). The pick-up or delivery area may be your home or another location of your choice.
You and the carrier can agree on another location nearby (a large parking lot, an open space area etc.). A good time to do this is when the driver or his dispatcher contacts you before pick-up or delivery. This usually happens within 24 hours before the event.
How can I track my vehicle while in transit?
You can get updates on the location of your vehicle by calling us or emailing us during business hours between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
What is the difference between open and enclosed transport?
Open auto transport carriers are the most common and popular type of vehicle transportation you will see you will see on the road. The trucks are typically 70 to 80 feet long and can move between 7 and 10 vehicles at the same time. The trailer on which the cars are loaded does not have any sides or a roof.
Enclosed carriers can typically haul only 6 vehicles or less, which is one reason why enclosed transport is more expensive and exclusively for luxury cars. Enclosed shipping provides maximum security for your vehicle, with the fully enclosed trailer offering protection from weather and road debris. Enclosed transport trailers cannot load as many vehicles as open transport carriers; therefore, delivery service is expected to be a little slower and requires more advanced notice for enclosed transport. The enclosed delivery method is also more expensive but is well worth the investment, especially if your car has unique delivery needs.
